An Improved Way to Advertise
A good do-it-yourself
marketing scheme is integral to any business, small or large,
and in either case, NPS Gift & Loyalty cards are the perfect
solution to getting the word out. Unlike traditional marketing
schemes, whose results are unpredictable at best, combining
gift cards with a little old fashioned know-how and elbow grease
will ensure that everyone knows who you are.
"Tried-and-true"
marketing schemes, i.e. placing ads in the local papers or magazines,
largely rely on the public finding your advertisements on their
own. A bright, eye-catching ad is a great idea, but there's
no guarantee that lots of people are going to see it. Television
and radio ads are extremely costly and again, you simply don't
know who's going to see or hear them. What if there was a way
to not only guarantee that hundreds of people are going to see
your ad, but also give them a perfect incentive to come and
see you?
Lunch Is On Us!
Here's
a letter we recently received from the owner of a very successful
local restaurant here in Maine who, after having a conference
call with us and discussing some possibilites, utilized our
Gift & Loyalty cards for what they called their "Lunch
Is On Us" program. Take a look:

Dear Nationwide,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank
you for meeting with me about our mailing campaign &
gift cards. After taking your advice and sending out pre-loaded
gift cards to hundreds of residences in the area, our
"Lunch Is On Us!" program has been a huge success
and business has never been better! As I was saying when
I spoke with Andy, we have tried other marketing ideas
in the past but we have never seen results as quickly
or enthusiastically as we did after sending out those
cards.
Thank you again for taking the time to
meet with me and help us get this program set up! It's
been a wonderful experience & I won't hesitate to
recommend NPS to everyone who's looking for great service
& knowledgeable help!
Sincerely,

This merchant
was looking for ways to increase her restaurant's business after
having mediocre sales since opening a few months previous. What
we came up with was the idea of doing a residential mailer to
a few hundred homes in the area; this ensured that a certain
number of people were guaranteed to see it, but what
made this campaign unique was that each mailer contained not
only a small printed ad for the restaurant but also a gift card
which had been loaded with a $5 value and an invitation to "come
down and lunch is on us!"
Using this
marketing method, the owner accomplished two things at once:
she got the word out to a guaranteed audience and made sure
that a large amount of her gift cards were in circulation, all
at a fraction of the cost of conventional advertising methods.
Remember, gift cards are not only mini-sized advertisements
in and of themselves, but can also be re-loaded and given as
gifts as many times as you like.
